Ben has gotten a bit more independent (demanding?) lately... there are days when he will. not. eat. unless he is feeding it to himself. This wasn't as big of a problem when it involved solid food which he (or we, on his behalf) could stab with a fork, but now that he's wanting to feed himself
everything, from yogurt to applesauce, it's, well, for one messier, and for two, a little less... efficient? He seems to be enjoying it, either way!

I hear ya, this is a tough stage. It's nice that they WANT to feed themselves but what actually makes it into the mouth and what doesn't is a huge difference. EVery time after Van eats STILL we have this HUGE clean up to do, the floor, him, the table. But he insists upon it.
